Neighborhood Dropoff Program - How It Works
Check if there's a dropoff hub near you.
Designate a bowl, jar or tupperware container to collect your kitchen and plate scraps throughout the day. Keep this receptacle in a place that is easily accessible - on the kitchen counter or under the sink are great choices. Empty these scraps into a bucket or larger container at the end of the day. We recommend placing this larger container outside - on the patio, or in the backyard or garage. You can also freeze the scraps if you don't have room for a bucket outside.
Empty the scraps from your container into the cart designated for scraps at the dropoff hub. Cover scraps completely with a few generous scoopfuls of mulch from the adjacent cart. Doing so prevents odors and critters and provides a pleasant dropoff experience to those who come after you. Remember that you are responsible for the cleanliness of your collection pail. Dropoff hubs are not equipped with rinse stations.
Click the Subscribe button below to create a member profile. Pay your dues of $45 per quarter ($15 per month, billed quarterly). Look for an email from us (sometimes ends up in your spam folder) with instructions on how to access the cart, lock codes and other details.
Subscriptions can be cancelled through the member portal before each quarterly renewal. Refunds (full or partial) will not be issued once subscription has been renewed.
